Holt Renfrew Expansion & Renovation

Building on the success of janson scuros’s original 2007 design for Holt Renfrew’s flagship in Vancouver, BC, js is leading a major 86,000 sf expansion and renovation of the store. The project updates existing spaces for new uses, and adds an additional 36,000 sf including a new, second internal atrium connecting the existing store to a completely new Holt Renfrew Men, a store within a store concept first created by js for its Toronto flagship location. In addition, js has created a brand new 12,000 sf Beauty Hall, a new 8,000 sf shoe salon, and newly updated handbag and jewelry areas. A glass enclosed rooftop penthouse houses luxurious Personal Shopper suites and “The Apartment”, an exclusive 1200 sf private shopping experience complete with a wrap-around terrace. The Apartment is a multifunctional space designed for private shopping, trunk shows, events, and dining and entertainment for high net worth clients.
