Trattoria Amici in The Americana at Brand lifestyle center in Glendale, CA is the latest restaurant designed by JS for development group Caruso and restauranteur Tancredi Deluca. Looking to provide more daylight and airiness to the interior, and to reinforce the connection between patio and bar, JS enlarged the existing exterior doorways by introducing a series of large sliding glass panels, creating a seamless flow from inside to outside. The interior restaurant and bar areas were refreshed with oak wood floors in a herringbone pattern, and soft cream tones.
